We started our Easter by having giving Elsie an Easter egg hunt in our backyard. She really could care less about all of the candy in the eggs so we decided to leave the eggs empty. We gave her a little basket and she went to town picking up a bunch of eggs. She absolutely loved it!
She found her Easter basket at the end of the hunt. Her favorite thing inside was a toy chick. Watching it move made her so excited. It was so fun to see her reaction.
After the egg hunt we went to the hospital to visit Justin's grandma who had just had a hip replacement surgery. Since we were uptown we decided to go to Sugarhouse Park and have a picnic. There were so many ducks and seagulls on the pond. Elsie was so excited to be there and just being outside. It was fun to see all of the people flying kites at the park. Then from the park we went to Justin's sister's baby blessing. Her husband gave a wonderful blessing, and after they had a delicious lunch planned afterward.
Each holiday is so exciting being able to experience it through a child's eyes. Everything is so new and you cannot wait to share it with them! How fun it is to have kids!
