Reaping the Benefits of Gardening and Hard Work

So this summer Justin and I have spent a lot of time in our backyard. We both love to work in the yard. Since we got married and bought our house we love spending time in our yard working together. We have had many Saturdays going to Home Depot or other nurseries looking for plants to put in our gardens. We have had many plants die, but now with trial and error many plants are thriving. The last thing we needed was a fence on the side that wasn't done and Justin finished that on Saturday! Now we can let Tiger out without putting him on his long leash and that is awesome!!! Here are some pictures of our back yard.

In our vegetable garden we have lots of large tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, green peppers, jalepenos, strawberries, and crenshaws. We love to go out there and watch how things grow and eat our own vegetables!

These sunflowers I started from seed inside and now they are well over 9 feet!

So this is called a four o clock plant and I started it inside from seed as well. We have a yellow, pink, and red one. These so much larger and more beautiful than any other $30 perrenial we bought. We are just amazed at how well things grow from seeds out here and they are only about $.50 or so!

We do love the grass donated from your yard, we can tell it was very well taken care of... unlike the stupid home depot grass that died.
Your yard looks great! And yay for Tiger he doesn't have to be tangled in a chain any more!

Beautiful!! I am so jealous you have a vegetable garden, we would LOVE one but I swear we have toxic soil or something. Everything we have planted has died! WHAT? Love Love Love your yard! You will have to teach me the ways of gardening ;)
